Took and blatantly liedsmutil the author is the same, but place more. The state of New Mexico, a place called the "Egg Factory", probably because of the unusual formations.

"I parked my muddy space ship in a small area nearby, put on a space suit, exited the landing jeep-module through a decompression chamber, and slowly walked towards what appeared as a huge amount of uninhabited butchered raw meat. After the starset, the alien landscape became illuminated with soft light when an electrical storm quite similar to thunderstorms on Earth, ionized the poisonous unbreathable gases around me, and endowed them with colors normally not seen on my mother planet. I will never get tired by these trips."
